I can't seem to shake you. this has without a doubt been the hardest, saddest most depressing point in my life. drowning in work doesn't help, paticipating in meaningless flings only makes it worse. everyday I wake up hoping this will be the day when u allow me back in. but I know u won't. ill never forget how u told me that u were not the kind of person to call someone or make the first move. and seeing how ive been cut off from u I can't imagine how or if Ill ever get to see u again. I pray every night that somehow I can even get the opportunity to. hear ure voice but even doing that brings about the fear of how would I react upon seeing u again. I'm so stressed out right now and I've got no one I feel I can confide in. I come here to write only out of the memory that u used to always read my posts. u were the only one who ever even came to my sites. god I miss that. I miss u telling me to hurry up and finish the next comic. I miss u telling me to calm down. I miss u giggle and laugh that u hate. I miss being able to touch ure feet. I miss the way every time u left my apt is always come back to my room to find one of ure hairs on my bed. I miss hearing about ure day and u talk about ure students. I miss hearing u talk about shoes or purses. I miss making sandwiches for you. I miss the excitment and nervousness id get from knowing u were at my door. I miss hanging out with you and ure friends. I miss watching u wail on rockband. I miss your smile. I miss the way u say kitty meow meow. I miss the way u imitate a shark. I miss wiring about whether u ate or not. I miss worrying about whether what ure eating is going to affect ure jaw injury. I miss the way u care about others. I miss holding u.

sorry

i wish I could take back everything I said out of anger. We wake up, commit to a schedule, we eat, we interact, we dispose ourselves of impurities, we sleep and do it all over again. We repeat this cycle for thousands of hours, millions of seconds. And for what? To satisfy this deeper sense of acceptance? To accomplish a feat worth ascertaining? Even after nearly 30 years of a constant stream of information burned into my brain I cannot truly tell you with confidence that i know what is my purpose. What it is that you have to do with me. I know things simply get more complicated as we get older but i at least thought that i would be able to cope with the emotion that ties me to this earth. I wish that somehow I could easily say that my feelings are irrelevant and that everything is fine but it is not. My feelings do matter and I do not enjoy this.

Look in the mirror today and truly ask yourself what is it that you want. No matter how unattainable the request is you can live your life in such a manner as to be inches from having that dream within your grasp. It may not be what you want but it is better than nothing. appreciate what you have created. The memories we have shared can never be diluted. even if we are the only ones that know the truth that is all that matters. I may never get to hold you again but that doesn't mean that i the memory of us with ever fade.

I know that sometimes i don't make any sense. I know that sometimes I get too wrapped up in the moment. I know that my heart is easily swayed. I know that according to you I can never have you. I know that if in some of your eyes Im just not good enough. I know that I am not living to my potential. I know that I care too much about people who care little about me. I know that you mean well. I know that I still need to find myself. I know that I am alone. I know that I haven't been honest. I know that in an attempt to win you I seem to always loose you. I know all these things yet I still know nothing.

worthless

i never thought id come back to this. but here i am. i guess its a way to excorsice the demons. its a way to cope with the pain. you may not realize this but this isnt the first time ive completely ruined a friendship. i dont know how i do it, or why it happens. all i know is that my thirst and desire to be loved always becomes my undoing. Ive never understood it. i dont think im a truly evil person or that i am ill willed but somehow everything always crumbles before me. What is left for me to do? i dont want to shut the world out anymore. ive done that all my life. Lonliness has been my only companion throughout the years. i was alone throughout my youth and i am still alone throughout my adulthood. people say its just not your time and dont worry itll come when its meant to be but i find those statements laughable. What good is kindness if it only causes me pain? what good is being selfless it it continues to destroy my belief in the world around me.
i hate what ive become. i am too weak. if this is the way it is meant to be then so be it. ill wander this world alone. if i am so undesirable then ill embrace this darkness and ill let it consume me fully. i thought that she would be the light to guide me out of this dungeon of hate but all she has done is imprison me even deeper. i do not hate her for that. she is not to blame. i am fully responsible for not being worthy enough for her love. I cant imagine there is someone better than her. she was everything i wanted dreamed and hoped for.

Miami Sunrise

I couldn't help but notice her when she walked into the room. Though inanimate, it feeds and can even affect the natural energy and order of the world around us. The longer an object remains intact and through history, the stronger the force becomes. We find Gary, a traveling insurance salesman, perusing through an antique store somewhere in the heart of the lone star state. He is about to make a discovery and purchase that will change his life forever.

“Excuse me how much is this?”

Gary had found this antique store while walking through the street of a small college town in Texas. He wasn’t much of an explorer. Usually on these trips he would remain in his room when he wasn’t in seminars or early morning conferences. This trip had been different. While searching for something to eat he decided to venture into town considering that the hotel didn’t really offer anything pleasing. He figured he was in Texas so why not try some of its famous barbeque. He was directed by the concierge to a local restaurant famous for its steaks and on the way back to his hotel he came across a strange antique store. Normally something like this wouldn’t attract Gary but the oddity of the décor somehow caught his attention and he gravitated inside.

The store was filled with various trinkets and uncommon objects. Pocket Watches and compasses from the 1800s. Civil war photographs, books on outdated medical procedures, countless stuffed deer heads mounted on the wall. The store seemed to go on and on with relics of the past. While perusing through an aisle he was stopped by an object that seemed to call to him.

The object was a porcelain doll. It appeared to be almost 100 years old. Normally a grown man wouldn’t give such a childish thing attention but Gary seemed almost impressed by the condition of the doll considering it was nearly a century years old. There were cracks on the head and most of the paint that filled its eyes had faded. The cotton stuffed body was not clothed. The white fabric had now turned to a medium gray. The hair had all but fallen off and its bald head was now mostly stubs of string and small holes.

Gary chucked at the site of the doll. He almost felt sorry for it. He began to this of what adventures this object had gone through, whose hands had grasped it. Who had loved and cared for the doll and how its journey eventually came to a stop here in this store. He reached for it and picked it up.

Now Gary wasn't really a superstitious man. He wasn’t religious or spiritual. He didn’t believe or not believe in God in fact he really hadn’t though about it much. He had been to psychic when he was younger with some college friends but it was more a goof than anything serious. Even when he opened fortune cookies, the notes always were a little vague. But something about this doll affected him. In his hand the doll seem to lightly vibrate. He could feel his hands become sweaty and the tips of his fingers began to feel hot. As if he was holding a steaming cup of coffee. Normally one would put an item like that down but for reasons unknown, Gary couldn’t. His eyes became fixed on the dolls eyes and for a few moments the world seemed to stop. What was even stranger is that Gary shook his head as to snap himself out of a trance and the next thing he knew he was standing outside of the store with a bag in his hand. When he reached into the bag he was surprised to find that the doll was in it. What was even more alarming was that when Gary turned to go back into the store he found its doors shut and interior lights off. I slowly rose out of bed and got dressed. we carefully exited out of our room making not to make any noise. We managed to get down the stairwell and out the front door without being seen. A few guards were on patrol but they were more preoccupied with someone coming in then getting out. we hurried out, taking advantage of the fog and made it behind a series of trees that covered the entrance to our estate. we would be clear from anyones sight for now so I decided to catch a breather."Now listen, I'm only showing you this once and we aren't going in. And no matter what do not cross the empty river!" I told my little brother." Why not?" " Never mind why, just don't!" The purple castle was off limits to us. My father and uncle strictly obeyed us not to go near there. It was known to be a place of great danger and even greater mystery.

Miami Sunrise: Dark Tales in Paradise

The body stunk. Amazingly the man understood my father and he spoke our language perfectly. From what i could barely overhear the man had said that he didn't even know where he was at. Now that may not seem so out of the ordinary but what the man said next sent everyone head over heels. He asked "when" it was. When? My father replied, "Whatever do you mean?"

At that moment a flash of light seem to fall from the sky and blind everyone for a brief second. When we all finished rubbing our eyes and readjusting our vision, we noticed an array of strangers standing in the garden. Some walking out from behind the bushes. As you are well aware of i havent been much of a blogger but hopefully with the new season in gear i can make 2010 the year where this blog starts to take off. I guess im not really yet comfortable with expressing myself on this thing. With that said ill try and keep it simple to only updates, short stories, and whatever else i can muster.

So for those of you who dont know my daytime job requires me to take a 4 month hiatus at the begining of every year. I shelve all my series and music so that i dont overload my brain. Whats great about it is that during that hiatus i allow my mind to come up with new ideas and i build up this thirst for art. When April comes around im overflowing with creativity!

With that said it gives me great pleasure to announce that Friends in Square Places is back online for a new year of crazy giant talking dog shenanigans! Today i've uploaded COMIC #31.

Editors Note:

A few issues from the last strips have been addressed. Many of you noticed that the quality has been a bit shakey the last couple of comics. Ive finally been able to figure out the correct quality settings in flash and also sorted out my layering which really helped out as far as the black outline goes.

I also changed Kevin #2's hair color to more blonde.

I will try my best to do at least 2 comics per week. If i can get a third in there i will. =D

NEW Friends in Square Places!!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_c1fWhSZMcLg/SsFACHxf1WI/AAAAAAAAAAU/hKIgXXrVS9c/s320/MAIN-logosquare.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386657034502395234" />
Hey there folks just dropping a quick update. Just uploaded Comic #24 for Friends in Square Places. Season 2 starts at Comic #17 so if you haven't been following it I recommend you start there and join Kathy, Who, Ted, & Abuela as they visit Pinehurst College for the first time!

I've also moved the official blog of F.I.S.P., "Investigations & LIFE", to this site. I figured might as well to help minimize the work. So from time to time, Who might drop by and post some crazy story so be on the look out for him doing a guest spot.

I've also started the new issue of I.H.A. (International Horror Association). Issue #4 will be the first of the "Crimes of Passion" series.

Right now I'm on vacation in upsate NY so when I get back I'll upload the cover so you can begin the salivating. Look for the 1st part of the issue out on or around Halloween.

New Releases on PMCRW Recordings

Whats up peeps! Its been a while since we've had a BeatsDigi release but thats only because I've been busting my ass locked away in my room churning out track after track. :D

In the past year i've gotten bit and hooked on the Dubstep movement. This past Winter Music Conference in Miami I saw the genre reach new heights. As of now, Dubstep has completely taken over Miami. And after hearing Benga for the 1st time in March i was sold.

Since then i've been making nothing but Dubstep and I LOVE IT!!! I was always partial to breaks but i migrated to drum and bass because i love the power of the basslines, as well as the hype....and of course ZE WOBBLZ!!!! :D

So now that ive built up a nice catalog, lets give the people something to feed on!!

Our first dubstep release is somewhat of a homage to people out there who can't seem to keep their mouth shut. I'm a big fan of video games and film and if you've heard my music before you are familiar with how cinematic my tracks are. Ever since Midway re-released this game, I have been wanting to do a track using samples from it. The song is called "NARC" and is based on the classic 80s video game. You'll hide your stash when your hear "Oh no its the Narc man!" and that cut throat bassline comes in.

The second release is titled "The Demon Seed" and takes influence from the 1970s feature film of the same title. I was blown away by the some of the lines and the overall concept of the film. I felt a big sustained bassline followed by a rising fast cut off filter really represented the main characters mental breakdown. And lets face it, Proteus is such a ridiculous villain, if you can even call him that. I see him more as a tragic hero.

Both tracks are scheduled for release on July 21st 2009 and will be priced at .99 cents!

Be on the lookout for my upcoming dubstep EP on Itunes, Amazon, Rapsody, and Napster and of course BeatsDigital (which will have an exclusive release with bonus tracks!) this fall! And also the re-release of Intergalactic Breaks 1 & 2 and the full PMCRW Drum & Bass catalog!

LETS GO PMCRW!!!!

Whats up! I was trying to post on the Miami Dubstep blog but ended up creating my own blog instead...go figure...anyway maybe this will help me get more attention on my work.

As some of you may or may not know, my name is Alex and I am an artist. My first love is illustration and cartooning, my second is making electronic music. Ive decided to use this blog to update you on everything PMCRW Arts & Entertainment related including the comics I publish and upcoming music releases. I may also drop some personal knowledge and thoughts if i ever get the urge to.

I have three official comic series, two are current, one is on the backburner. They are:

The International Horror Association
http://www.internationalhorrorassociation.com

A homage to EC comics, I created this website and series as an annual horror comics release. It features original and adapted stories brought to by the most sophisticated skeleton host, Raymond. Look out for a new comic every Halloween.

Friends in Square Places
http://www.friendsinsquareplaces.com

I created these characters back in the summer of 1998 while sitting in summer school chemistry class. i was bored out of my mind and had some time to kill and decided that my dog would make a great cartoon character. Thus Who was born! I hated that he didn't have anyone to hang with so i made him a pal and called him Ted after our previous dog Teddy. From then on the rest is history. This Romantic/Comedy is based on my college experience and the friends I made from that. Lots of the characters are based on real people who influenced me in one way or another.

Secret Assassins
http://www.secretassassins.com

This comic is my oldest and my biggest struggle. I created these characters when i was like 10 years old and have been perfecting them ever since. I really haven't worked on it as much as i'd like to simply because i saw more potential behind the other comics and this wasn't as popular. I really think though that the story behind this is my most intense. I've only released one issue, but in acutallity i have over 5 issues already drawn. I think next year i'm going to revise what i do with this comic. This is such an epic tale that really needs to be told. It follows Shadow, a warrior from another dimension as he struggles to find the key to saving his world. He is in constant battle with the Himitsu Ansatsuken, ("Secret Murdering Fist") a group of demons led by a mysterious warrior who weilds the Switchblade, an armor that grants its holder unimaginable power. Between the two lies Kimotsu, a young girl who unknowingly holds the key. There is lots of action and violence in this story as well as many twists and turns.

As for music, i make a lot of it. I started making music in 1999 but had been playing well before that. I was classically trained as a trumpet player and grew to love electronic music when my cousin introduced me to The Prodigy in 1998. In the year following i purchased my first keyboard, a YAMAHA DJX, and was introduced to a program called Fruity Loops which i still use today! I started out making Electro breaks & trance and then moved on to Drum & Bass. During that time I started writing a lot of lyrics. Everywhere i went i had a journal with me and was constantly writing. Sometime in the early 2000s i discovered a DnB night in Orlando, FL called Torque and was introduced to emceeing by a great emcee known as MC Collaborator. He was the first to hand me the mic and from then on i became obsessed with perfecting my own style of singing and writing. After graduating college in 2003 i moved back home to Miami and started up a residency at a local DnB night called Infrastructure. In 2007 I took a hiatus from emceeing to focus more on production and became very interested in Hip-Hop. In 2009, i started making Dubstep which is what i'm currently hooked on.

You can follow my netlabel on our website: http://www.pmcrw.com

and can purchase our music exclusively through BeatsDigital or Itunes and Amazon.com
